Agenda

Club activities
8th of September 2019: Clubshow Zwolle, judge: H. Sargeant

About the judge: Hilary Anne Sargeant (Quixhill)

My late husband, Norman Clarke, and I had our first Mastiff, Trevabyn Sirius, in 1980. He was a lovely fawn male, bred by my brother and we very quickly fell in love with the breed.
We were soon joined by Trevabyn Winter Solstice, a delightful dark brindle, and we started showing.
As we were both working, we only bred two litters and our most successful homebred bitch was Champion Quixhill True Britt.
We were foundation members of the Mastiff Association and I was editor of the newsletter in those early days, and for many years afterwards. I was elected President and have been honoured to serve in that role for many years.
I first gave Challenge Certificates in 1984 and have judged in both the UK and overseas, judging at Crufts in 2014.
After the death of my husband, I did not continue to own mastiffs, but I have been delighted to remain involved with the breed to the present time. I am looking forward to judging your show and I would like to thank you for the invitation.
